For my final project I decided to do something out of the box. Something that I knew no one would do and that is food photography. My Theme is Thanksgiving Food. What inspired me was I was at a Mediterranean restaurant with a few of my friends and I looked at the menu and I shared my opinion of how there wasn’t any pictures of the food in the menus, verses when you go to a chain restaurant. Food photography is something that you see everyday. It could be pictures in a chain restaurant, through commercials and or ads for a company or simply pictures that you see online through social media. In the end result I have a lot of chefs in my family, and for Thanksgiving my aunt makes the best food in my opinion so I decided to take pictures of the food that we ate for the holiday. My Aunt is really interested in opening her own catering business, so she also used these pictures for her social media platform. I really enjoyed taking these pictures because it was fun trying to take the best angle for food to make it look appealing for people to look at it and say “That looks good”. I also posted these pictures online via Instagram and Facebook and I received a lot of positive feedback from these pictures, so I decided to do my project on this. It was a lot of fun and I think I will continue taking pictures of food.
